Who is this course for?
This course has been developed to raise the awareness of key food safety issues and provide employees and volunteers with an induction to food hygiene, prior to undertaking the Level 2 Award in Food Safety
Who should attend?
The Level 1 Award in Food Safety provide an ideal solution to staff induction training. They are also well suited to individuals handling low risk or wrapped foods such as:
- new employees and volunteers with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge
- employees and volunteers handling low-risk or wrapped foods
- front of house employees and volunteers, such as waitering or check out staff
- back of house employees and volunteers such as kitchen porters, warehouse staff
- suitable for employees and volunteers for wmom English is their second language
Why is this training important?
Food business operators must ensure that employees and volunteers are supervised, instructed and trained in food hygiene matters in order to guarantee safe food to customers.
